Monique Placko

Founder. Owner. Legend.

Meet Monique…

Despite seemingly propelling herself into the entertainment industry, literally out of nowhere… Monique actually got her start producing Musical Theatre before making the smooth transition into film, whilst studying at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Bouncing between Sydney and LA (and the occasional Euro Summer), Monique is actually a lot easier to track down than you’d think.

Amongst her peers, she is known for being ambitious, organised, and hard working - which is absolutely not how her cats would describe her. Monique is trained in NLP, Hypnotherapy and Coaching; and holds an in-depth CV which includes Management, Marketing, and randomly, Dental Assisting (2019, you were a dream). She’s a photographer, talent manager, producer, writer, multi-business owner and director (both the ASIC and the entertainment type) - and whilst you may think her career pathway is a bit all over the shop… the only thing that baffles Mon is that they didn’t pick up on the ADHD diagnosis sooner.

Follow the dopamine and you will literally thrive.

Leadership has always been in Monique’s bones - she credits the majority of her management and producing skillset to the years spent working in the health, retail and hospitality industries… nothing shapes a person quite like being yelled at over stale popcorn. Much like her business partners, Monique is a huge people* person; and with a level of social acuity that should be clinically studied, she’s often heard saying that her favourite part of producing is bringing together the perfect team for a project - in the business world, they’d call that strategy; she calls it vibe curation.

Above all, Monique cares about mental wellness and empowering others to achieve their goals - nothing makes her prouder than seeing the people around her succeed. Monique’s belief of β€œone up, all up” aligns perfectly with CIMP’s mantra β€œpeople over project” - which continues to built the foundation of their company culture and solidifies these as standards throughout all of their production teams, now, and for many years to come…

Monique wants to meet you, you should reach out x
