Irwin's adaptation of Fox's classic tale was chosen to premiere last November at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and in January it made its Australian debut at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival. A live action adaptation of the classic Australian children’s book Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas will premiere on iview and broadcast on Sunday 18th August for Book Week, airing at 5.05pm on ABC Kids. There will be a repeat broadcast that week on Friday 23rd August at 9:30am on ABC Entertains (also during Book Week).
Produced as part of the Master of Arts Screen program in 2022, the film had its world premiere at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival and its Australian premiere at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival…

The short film Oi, produced by a crew of AFTRS students, recent graduates, and alumni, has been selected to screen at the 2024 Melbourne International Film Festival, where it will have its world premiere.
Directed by Sophie Serisier, produced by Monique Placko and written by Laneikka Denne, the production joins AFTRS students, alumni, and long-time creative collaborators. Behind the film is the production company CIMP Entertainment, co-founded by AFTRS Masters of Producing Alumni Caleb Irwin and Monique Placko in 2023.

Written by its lead actor Laneikka Dane, Oi looks at the hyper-sexualised hothouse of the modern teenage experience, watching as its chaotic, turbulent central character uses violence, persuasion, sexual provocation and indelible bravado to rule the school. Etched with a critical, queer perspective, and carrying echoes of Puberty Blues, it presents a provocative new study of Australian female adolescence…
